    PICU – LEVEL 1
    It is expanded with a fully air-conditioned ten bedded unit having:

  • Central Oxygen, Suction & Compressor

  • Two ventilators(Inspiration & Siemens)

  • ABG Analyzer

  • Portable X-Ray Machine

  • Monitors – Cardiac, Pulse Oxymeters & Multipara Infusion pumps

  • Defibrillator, It has ventilated 40 babies so far with the success rate of 65%.

    NICU – LEVEL 2
    It is a newly constructed wing with an area of 3000 sq.ft. It is full pledged 18 bedded fully air-conditioned unit .To deal with preterm babies and neonatal problems it is equipped with:

  • 18 servo controlled warmers

  • Phototherapy units

  • Central Oxygen,Suction & Compressor

  • Two ventilated (Bear Cub & Takaoka)

  • ABG Analyzer

  • Portable X-Ray machine

  • Monitors – Cardiac, Pulse Oxymeters & Multipara

  • Infusion pumps.So far 35 babies have ventilated with a success rate of 60%.

     ULTRAMODERN LAB FACILITY
    It is well-equipped, computerized laboratory with separate Pathology and Microbiology units. It has

    RADIOLOGY UNIT
    has highly advanced state-of-art facilities for investigations.It has

  • CT-Scan(In the Campus).
    This unit is well guided by the Radiologists Dr.Ramesh Mankare M.D,D.N.B & Dr. M.M.Patil D.M.R.D.

    PEDIATRIC SURGERY UNIT
    The hospital has fully Air-Conditioned Operation Theatre (One Major & One Minor). All pediatric and neonatal surgeries including Esophageal Atresia, Diaphragmatic Hernia are regularly done. Here Neuro-surgery, Uro-surgery, & Plastic Surgery are also performed. This surgical unit has carried out more than 1500 major operations in the last eight years. The innovative, young & dynamic surgeons & anaesthetists form the core group of our surgery unit. This unit is well guided & managed by the following surgeons:

    PEDIATRIC BRONCHOSCOPY UNIT
    More than 300 cases of airway obstruction caused by foreign bodies have been treated with full success in this unit in 12 years.The unit is equipped with Ventilating Bronchoscopes of different sizes and foreign body forceps.Dr.N.H.Kulkarni M.S.,D.L.O. E.N.T.Surgeon & Dr.L.H.Bidari Pediatrician are arbitrarily developing a suspicion scale system for these cases.

    PEDIATRIC CARDIOLOGY CLINIC
    Hospital conducts this clinic in coordination with Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore. The patients who require cardiac surgery are sent to Narayana Hrudayalaya. The poor cardiac patients get financial assistance from H.T.Bidari Memorial Trust, Bijapur. Narayana Hrudayalaya also conducts the surgeries at concessional charges. In the last two years more than 100 cardiac patients have been operated in this scheme. The following doctors are visiting every second Friday of the month.

    NEPHROLOGY & UROLOGY CLINIC
    The hospital has started Nephrology clinic on every first Sunday of the month. Dr.Basavraj Kolur DM, Nephrologist from Sholapur runs the clinic. The surgeries will be done by Urologist Dr.S.B.Patil M.S.M.C.H

    RHEUMATOLOGY CLINIC
    The hospital has also added Rheumatology Clinic to its list, on every second Sunday of the month. Dr.Mukund Ray, Rheumatologist from Sholapur is in charge of the clinic.

    CHILD DEVELOPMENT CLINIC
    This clinic is managed by Dr.Shene,child development specialist from Sholapur, on second & fourth Sundays of every month.Here physically and mentally handicapped children are taken care of.

    COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES
    The hospital in association with Rotary Club of Bijapur North has conducted several Health Check-up and Cardiac Camps. In addition, it has also participated in Health Awareness Programme on Polio & six killer diseases in children.

    EDUCATION & RESEARCH
    The Hospital has a very good library facility with more than 300 books on General Pediatrics & Pediatric Super-Speciality. It also provides Computer with Internet facility for e-library with a separate reading room. The Hospital regularly conducts CMEs. The hospital has now added a fully Air-Conditioned conference hall with 100 seating capacity. It has LCD facilities, Overhead projector & public address system. It has also tied up with eminent pediatricians in India who have agreed to teach our DNB students through distant education.


  • CHARITABLE WARD
    To serve the economically weaker section, a 12-bedded H.T.Bidari memorial Ward has been constructed. Here children will be treated at concessional rates or free of cost. The patients will be given free medicines with the aid from Philanthropists.
